( Cobra Venom )
NAJA medicine is prepared from the Venom of the Indian Cobra , the hooded Snake of Hindustan . Naja has the qualities of other Snake Remedies like Loquacity , Wandering , Malice , Venomous disposition , Jealousy , Attractive talk , the feeling of Two Wills etc ., its Unique Feature however is its feeling of “ DUTY CONSCIOUSNESS ” .

Naja people have a certain quality of ‘ nobility about them , of morality , of RESPONSIBILITY ’ ; often this feeling is in conflict with the ‘ feeling of having suffered wrong and neglect ’ with intense feelings of malice and impulse to neglect or harm the offending person , “ Emotional state ” .
Wandering of the mind . BROODING constantly over imaginary troubles and makes himself wretched . Depressed with distress about sexual organs , better in the evening . As if everything were done wrong and could not be rectified . Stupid and confused feeling .
The Cobra in India is both revered and respected as a God , as well as feared and killed as a Poisonous Snake . Naja has a brooding and Suicidal state , a feeling as if everything had been done wrong and could not be rectified . This could happen in many situations , where there is a split between the feeling of duty and the feeling of having suffered wrong . An example of such a situation could be that of a Daughter-in-law and a tyrannical Mother-in-law , or even of a woman whose husband is having extra-marital affair . In both situations the feeling is often one of being neglected and wronged with much anger and malice , but at the same time she may feel dutiful and responsible , and there is a constant conflict about this . This can eventually lead her into a depressive state with suicidal thoughts .
Dreams of Snakes , especially of black Snakes with raised hoods ( unaccompanied by fear ) . In life , an intense fear of or fascination with Snakes , they often refer to Snakes as if talking of Humans . Dreams of being pursued ; dreams of flying in order to escape .
There may be an intense spiritual orientation in Naja patient . Clairvoyance . Increased perception of what he ought to do . Delusion neglected his duty . The Mind symptoms are aggravated by exertion of Mind . Ill effects of Grief . Anxious ; Anxiety , Conscience of . Neglected feeling , feels neglected but does not talk to anyone , only broods . In Naja the Nervous system , especially Cerebellum and balance system involvement is there .

GENERALS : -
CHILLY patient , Left sided complaints . Thirsty .
Naja can be called as “ Mild tempered chilly Lachesis ” .
Better from walking or riding in open air , Sneezing and smoking . > lying on right side ( pain & breathing ) .
Aggravated from use of stimulants after sleep . < after menses , cold air , drafts . < pressure of clothes , tight collars , alcohol ; touch ; < riding in carriage , at 3 pm ( head ) ; night .
Naja is mainly useful for Heart disorders , mainly Angina pectoris ; Asthma . 
Naja was introduced into homoeopathy by Russell and Stokes ; Naja produces a typical bulbar paralysis . Causes no hemorrhage but bear very little sign of external injury , a small scratch or puncture being the only indication where the fangs have worked their havoc . Black discharges .
The physical appearance of the Face can often like a Cobra hood , with glasses or spectacle mark , of Cobra . Pains in left groin , left ovary , come on a week before menses and > by flow . Cravings for stimulants ; and they aggravates the sufferings .
Severe headache with intense depression ; pain in left temple and in left orbit region . Confusion and dullness in head ; in the morning . Cardiac lesions ( Spong ., Laur ) . Valvular disorders . Hypertrophy of heart etc ., Damaged heart after infectious diseases . Increased sexual desire ; nocturnal emissions ; great desire but no physical power with depression of mind . According to Hering , nervous phenomena predominate in Naja over other Serpent poisons . It acts primarily upon nervous system , especially on respiratory nerves , Pneumo-gastric and Glosso-pharyngeal . Choking in the throat ; and grasping with . Organs seem to be drawn together , especially ovary and heart . Appearance as if intoxicated .
