IHML demands G.O. to authenticate the Homoeopaths to issue all Certificates
CHENNAI.FEB.26: The Indian Homoeopathic Medical League (IHML) made a representation to the Government to authenticate all Registered Homoeopathic Practitioners to sign all the certificates to their patients and also furnish evidences in the court of law. Dr.R.Gnanasambandam, President, Dr.Monalisa John, General Secretary, Dr. S. Alwin Babu, Treasurer and K.Savitha , Executive member presented a memorandum to the principal secretary and commissioner, Department of IM&H. They also presented the memorandum to the Registrar, Tamil Nadu Homoeopathy Medical Council
In the memorandum they stated that “We bring to your kind attention that the Registered Homoeopathy Medical practitioners in the Tamil Nadu Homoeopathy Medical Council faces problems in issuing the Medical certificates to their patients and also other eligible certificates before law. Our organization already made a representation with the above cited letter. They also stated that the section 15 of the Homoeopathy Central Council Act 1983 empowers every Registered Homoeopathic Medical practitioner to authenticate certificates and The Gazette of India, Central council of Homoeopathy, Homoeopathic practitioners (Professional conduct, Etiquette and code of ethics) Amendment regulations 1982 Regulation 5A and 38(w) with its Appendix 1 and 2 authorizes all to sign certificates required by law”

The Government of Tamil Nadu has issued a G.O.Ms.No 2235 dated 10th December 1981 authorizing only the Government servants to authenticate certificates. Hence they requested to incorporate the act Homoeopathic practitioners (Professional conduct, Etiquette and code of ethics) Amendment regulations 1982 and pass necessary orders to sign the certificates as required by law. We also request to notify by publishing in Tamil Nadu Government gazette under section 36 of Tamil Nadu Homoeopathy system of Medicine and practitioners of Homoeopathy Act 1971
