<span style="background-color: white; font-family: 'lucida grande', tahoma, verdana, arial, sans-serif; line-height: 14px;">The word Homeokinesics owes its origin from two words (Homeo = Homeopathy; Kinesics = The study of body movements). Kinesics is the interpretation of body language, nonverbal gestures, postures and facial expressions by which a person manifests various physical, mental or emotional states, and communicates nonverbally with others. These messages delivered through nonverbal cues, which can be either verbal or physical, can support, emphasize or contradict what is being conveyed.</span><br>

<span style="background-color: white; font-family: 'lucida grande', tahoma, verdana, arial, sans-serif; line-height: 14px;">The study of these gestures for the purpose of gathering the authentic data of the person's inner self and its utilization in homeopathic practice is called as Homeokinesics.</span><br>

<span style="background-color: white; font-family: 'lucida grande', tahoma, verdana, arial, sans-serif; line-height: 14px;">Though kinesics has since long been used to understand human behavior but its utilization in homeopathy is a fairly novel affair.</span><br>

<span style="background-color: white; font-family: 'lucida grande', tahoma, verdana, arial, sans-serif; line-height: 14px;">During my initial practice I often found that while interrogating the patient the behavior expressed by their body language was quite different from that expressed in words. Ignoring my instinct to interpret their body language I adhered to their narration, analyzed it, evaluated it, repertorized it to the best of my knowledge and came out with remedies which no doubt provided relief to my patient but Cure continued to be a mirage. I discussed it with my seniors and teachers well ahead of me in practice but to no avail. One fine day, while I was going through Dr. Hahnemann's Organon of Medicine, (re-reading it- my recent idea for guidance in practice) I marveled at the importance of observation emphasized by him; and as if struck out of my reverie the thought of utilizing kinesics in homeopathy came upon me.</span><br>

<span style="background-color: white; font-family: 'lucida grande', tahoma, verdana, arial, sans-serif; line-height: 14px;">I started learning about various gestures, attitudes or appearances from different behavioral psychologists and integrated it with homeopathic practice. I modified my method of case-taking which now was more of observation giving importance to the gestures of the patient, their facial expression, eye movements etc; especially in the cases wherein their body language did not match the narration. Kinesics, or body language, is one of the most powerful ways that humans can communicate nonverbally. It is used to portray moods and emotions and to emphasize or contradict what is being said. Having done this, I was amazed at the results it gave and my prescriptions improved since I undertook this alteration in my method. I even persuaded some of my friends to use this method in their practice, which we called Homeokinesics and they too were overwhelmed by the results.</span><br>

At the present state of our knowledge, the mechanism of action of the potentized homeopathic remedies diluted beyond Avogadro's limit is extremely difficult to understand and explain. But here is a working hypothesis that can throw light on the possible mechanism of biological action of the potentized homeopathic remedies with concrete supportive evidences. In the beginning, let me focus on the intricacies that come in the way of a scientific explanation of the mechanism of action of the homeopathic remedies, particularly those diluted above the Avogadro's limit. Firstly, to understand the mechanism of action of the potentized homeopathic drugs, one has to satisfactorily answer the problem of how the medicinal property of the original drug substance can be transferred to and retained by the ethanolic vehicle. Several working hypotheses have been proposed in this aspect (Anaganostatos et al., 1998; Allegre et al., 1989; Bellavite and Signorini, 2002; Elia and Niccoli 1999; Lo, 1996; Anick and Ives, 2007; Rey et al., 2007). The leading current proposal for the mode of action of such "ultra molecular" dilutions is that water (and aquatic ethanol as well) is capable of storing information relating to substances with which it has been in contact and subsequently can transmit this information to pre-sensitized biological system. The process is believed to be mediated by structural modification of water (or the aquatic ethanol, the "vehicle" of the homeopathic remedies), analogous to storage of information by magnetic media. Such information is retained in physical, rather than chemical form (Bellavite and Signorini, 2002). Several aspects of the "water structure" and "memory of water" have been critically analyzed recently by Chaplin (2007). Results of studies conducted on nature of molecular clustering in water solutions showed that as a solution is made more and more dilute, larger and very stable aggregates develop (Samal and Geckeler, 2001). This would mean that residual molecular clusters of the original substance may be present in homeopathic dilutions. Interestingly, alcohol also forms clusters with water (Wisnieski et al., 2001), which would further support the homeopathic analogy. </div></div>

inservice training for ayush medical officers in kerala

Hospitals and temporary dispensaries  under LSGIs. The training will be conducted  in TEN batches  (each of one day duration for about 60 doctors)  between lzth - 23'd March 2012 at SHSRC,Thycaud, hiruvananthapuram. Kindly take necessaly  steps to inform all concemed  and direct the Medical Officers  to report to the undersigned  at 9.30 am on the day of the training with necessary relieving certificate from the District Medical Officer  concerned<br>

Guidelines  for the trainine:<br>
1. All Homoeo / Ayurveda / Unani Medical Officers who are working on contract / daily wages basis in<br>
the Gor.t.  Hospiials / temporary  dispensaries  under LSGIs can attend  this training.<br>

2. pregnant llady doctors with infants (children under  1 year) and those who are suffering from severe<br>
disise may bi exempted from attending this training at the discretion  of the DMO concemed.<br>

3. Accommodation / conveyance will not be provided in this institution as the facilities  are inadequate.<br>
The trainees may arrange  the same at their own means'<br>

Three Days (consecutive three working days) Continuing Medical Education Programme (CME) for<br>
Medical Officers of PHC/CHCor institution under Dept of AYUSH to be held at the National Institute<br>
of Homoeopathy<br>

The National Institute of Homoeopathy shall be organising the  Continuing Medical education<br>
Programme (CME) as per enclosed schedule as approved by the Department of AYUSH, Government of India. Full time medical officers of a recognized Institute/College/Hospital/Dispensary are  eligible for attending the programme. The medical officers approaching the age of superannuation i.e. 60 years are not eligible. The institute shall pay the TA  up to 2ndAC train fare at the end of the programme on production of the Original ticket and subject to full attendance. In case of non-production of ticket the trainee is eligible for 2<br>
nd Class sleeper train fare by the shortest route.<br>

The trainee of North east region for any CME are eligible to travel by air (Air India only) upto Kolkata or<br>
Guwahati (whichsoever the shortest route) and from there to the palace of programme by 2 Tier A/C. they shall submit the boarding pass in original with tickets.<br>

No taxi fare /conveyance will be borne by the Institute except from the working institute to the nearest<br>

This paper reports dielectric dispersion occurring in potentised homeopathic medicines subjected to variable frequency electric field using an instrumentation method developed by the authors. Oscillations occur in the direction of electric field, and are usually termed longitudinal/acoustic-mode vibrations.<br />
<br />
<b>Methods</b><br />
The test material was lactose soaked with homeopathic medicine. Multiple resonance frequencies, forming a frequency-set, were observed repeatedly for each medicine.<br />
<br />
<b>Results</b><br />
We report experimental results for three potencies of Cuprum metallicum (Cuprum met) in the frequency range of 100kHz–1MHz. Each exhibits a set of resonance frequencies, which may be termed as its characteristic set. As the frequency-set of each medicine is different from those of others, each medicine may, therefore, be identified by its characteristic frequency-set. This suggests that potentised homeopathic medicines, which are chemically identical with the vehicle, differ from one another in the arrangement of vehicle molecules.<br />
