OVERWHELMING.
AFFLICTION-To suffer from greivious pain,esp.in religion self dscipline or Mortification.

Mortification means a feeling of loss of prestige or self-respect; humiliation.Here the person feels that he has beenhumiliated to a great extent.He is sufferring due to that.This rubric shows that the person is deeply hurt and that hurt or pain has mortified now.So here the suffering is too much to be taken care of.So the focus here is only on the humiliation he is going through.He is not questioning the Cause of it nor is he responding to it prportionally.He is just reacting to it as he percieves it.For him the pain due to the grief is just too much than his capacity to bear.This rubric projects the sycotic way of handling Grief.
