Union Minister of State for Ayush Shripad Yesso Naik said the central government has been prioritising the development of homoeopathy along with other traditional systems of medicine as it gained popularity throughout the country after Independence.
Homoeopathy has assumed prominence as a system of medicine and gained unfathomable popularity throughout the country after Independence, the Union Minister of State (Independent charge) for AYUSH, said.
Inaugurating the academic-cum-library building and unveiling the statue of Dr.C.F.S. Hahnemann, the founder of homoeopathy, at the National Institute of Homoeopathy (NIH) here, he announced allocation of Rs 60 crore for the first phase of expansion of the institute.
A sum of Rs 30 crore each would be allocated for the second and third phases, he said.
According to him, the institute should stand out in education, carry out need-based research and deliver efficient patient care with gaining importance and acceptance of homeopathy in the world.
