Karimnagar: Dengue could be prevented by taking Homeopathic medicines, District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed said.
He attended as a chief guest for the free homeo medical camp organised by the department of Ayush at Dangarivadi High School in Karimnagar on Friday and administered homoeopathic medicines to the students.
Speaking on the occasion, the Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed said that due unhygienic surroundings, diseases like dengue were spreading at an alarming rate with the increase of mosquito population.
The Collector said that about 50 dengue cases have registered in the district till date. A special drive had been organised for one week to prevent the spread of dengue in the district along with giving a call to public to implement a ‘Dry Day’ programme on every Friday in their surroundings.
Homeopathic medicines would be given to all people from four years old to 70 years, to prevent Dengue.
Homeopathy Senior Medical Officer V V Venu Gopal Rao, Ayurvedic senior medical officer Sunder, Prabha, Hari Shankar, School Headmaster Sampath Rao and others were present.
