Talking to Deccan Herald, EClinic 24/7 Founder and Chief Executive Officer Jeyandran Venugopal said, “We are in the process of raising Series A funding within 3 months through strategic investors who are in health tech space or traditional venture capital funds.”
The Bengaluru-based startup, which was incorporated in March 2015, had raised seed stage funding of $500,000 (approximately Rs 3.2 crore) in August 2015. This had been used for product development and marketing. The platform has 25,000 registered users. The startup is looking at a growth of around 60% month-on-month.
Sharing notes about its B2B2C offerings, Venugopal said that the company has tied up with some of India’s prominent corporates and startups, including Sterlite Technologies, Verse Innovations, JusPay and SellerWorx, among others. The company is in the process of adding a major conglomerate with over 60,000 employees along with their family members on their corporate customer base.
“Currently, the company offers 12 specialities, including general medicine, paediatrics, dermatology, gynaecology and clinical psychology, among others. We are in the process of adding AYUSH specialities,” Venugopal added.
Interestingly, the platform also facilitates patients to get immediate consultations when they are in a hurry. “For urgent care needs, we have general physicians available round the clock, and if a patient requests an immediate consultation through a video or voice call back, we ensure that they get to talk to the doctor within 15 minutes.”
Regarding consultation fees, Venugopal said, the charges range from Rs 199 to Rs 299 for general practitioner consults, depending upon the mode of communication such as email, phone or video consults. For other specialities, the fee ranges from Rs 299 to Rs 399. Sharing future plans, Venugopal said, “The company plans to invest in device technology like IoT (internet of things) devices through OEM/ODM partnerships. These connected devices can capture and stream primary care parameters like BP, glucose readings, etc.” This will further increase clinical diagnostic accuracy and extend the range of conditions that can be diagnosed and treated through telemedicine.
EClinic 24/7 has integrated with lab and diagnostics chains and facilitates home sample collection if a patient wants some lab tests done. Reports are uploaded to the patients’ electronic medical records and made available to their consulting doctors. Their web application also has the unique ability to support doctor prescriptions that can be digitally signed and attached to the consultation summary made available to their patients.
