A common belief is that Homeopathy can only deal in chronic condition, not in acute. The real test of a Homeopath is that he should be trained enough to handle acute conditions first. It is because prescribing in an acute condition is really very difficult. Homeopathy is a two edged sword. In fact most of the time a slightest error would lead it into critical complications and where for allopaths homeopathy becomes like a joke. It is also because if patient dies in allopath's hands it will be considered as natural way but if he is dying in a homeopath's hand they will blame that to quackery. I think that is the reason most of the homeopaths do not take acute cases in the first place with saying a simple sentence that 'go to hospital'. So I thought I should show a path that Homeopathy not only can handle but can treat acute cases too with more better results than what allopathy can do. Here is an example :
This 90+ old man developed prolapsed rectum while straining on stool, earlier was treated by allopaths for a climatic febrile condition. That was a month of February i.e. the ending of cold season. Till 3-4 days he quietly suffered pains considering that is a piles and was taking pain killers. However when his pains and sufferings did not relieved his son forcefully took him to the hospital, where was diagnosed as malignant condition most likely was a cancer. This old man was listening the discussion of hospital doctors which were of negative sides that 'at this stage surgery would not be possible but what that will be decided after admitting him in the hospital'. And the approximate expenses which would have been going to lacs of rupees. This old man did not wanted to spend that much amount of his son with no positive results. So he decided to go home but due to his sufferings there was no other option also, so the family consulted other doctors. In this way some 2-3 doctors of different hospitals had seen this patient with the same opinion what earlier doctors of that hospital gave to the family.
This is now sometimes people think of homeopathy but now the patient was not in a position to even move on bed and was suffering with terrible painful and prostrated condition along with toxic symptoms. The family consulted me and explained about his miserable condition that he had become so much weak that on turning on bed passes urine involuntarily. This cardinal symptom reminded me Muriatic Acid since he was also showing the signs of toxemia. Untill then, I had not seen the patient or his photographs, only listening the description I sent the above medicine in 30 potency, few doses of that. This stabilized the case. Patient got relieved and started feeling comfortable. But the pathology perhaps was remained in the same condition. And now patient also started thinking that his sufferings would need a surgical treatment only so the family took him to a different surgical expert considering what the other doctors had told the family that the nature of his illness is cancerous.
The patient when was manually examined and did a punched biopsy of the leison by so called cancer expert lead him in a more painful condition. Now they came to me again this time with the photographs which his son had taken from his mobile phone. After seeing his photos the first one perhaps was after the patient had taken my medicines, the second one was with a gangrenous look and perhaps which was after the interference of that so called cancer expert who examined and tested him at last. That made me now angry and furious because when I see the people who take homeopathy half heartedly it makes me unhappy. However now at this stage which to me was a gangrenous more dangerous than cancer or of a prolapsed rectum. Here I sent Thuja in 200 potency, a single dose along with few doses of Opium in 30 potency. There after the prescriptions were changed according to clinical conditions. He received Carbon Animalis which helped him recouping his vital energy. The story is long but in short, finally he got cured. The complimentary medicines in this case was Ruta and Nosode - II (Maul Dum).
Though I started with his acute sufferings which were partly due to his pathos and pathology and partly because of physically examinations by the doctors which also induced trauma to the soft tissues. They also gave him psychological trauma by discussing his problems in front of him. His chronic condition was prolapse of rectum sometimes while he used to bow down during his prayers to which he was not given that much importance considering that as a simple piles. This is how gradually his underlying condition was building but the allopathic treatment which was given to him for fever was the causative factor making his health more sick. This is how was straining on stools. He developed prolapsed rectum which got strangulated and resulted into an acute condition.
However, he is absolutely fit now, and he visited me with a healthy smile and a box of sweets. I mean to say Homeopathy can treat all type of cases provided people should have faith homeopathy and the homeopaths should have confidence in them and in their pathy too.
